Hungarian wines generally offer a great value, and this Blaufrankisch rosé is not an exception. Light and refreshing, elegant and easy drinking, this wine offers a bouquet of grapefruit and berries on the nose, but strawberries and rose petals are discernible on the palate.

The winemaker

The „rosé king” in Hungary
Tamás Dúzsi is known as the ‘rosé king’ in Hungary, at least one journalist called him that right at the beginning of the 2000s, and the name stuck.
The multiple-awarded family winery from Szekszárd was founded in 1994 by Mr. Dúzsi and his wife, Ilona Dúzsi.
They work in 60 hectares of vineyards. Their main varieties are Kékfrankos (Blaufrankisch), Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zweigelt, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Kadarka, Shiraz, Riesling.
The wines mainly are Blaufrankisch and Blaufrankisch-based blends, Cabernet and Cabernet-based blends, Varietal or blended rosé.
The Dúzsi winery supports organic and sustainable farming.
